The ceremony processional, recessional and receiving line -
An example of a typical ceremony processional is set out below in the order of occurrence. Depending on the church, the officient or desires of Bride and Groom, there could be variances to the standards:
The mother of Groom is escorted to her seat by the father of Groom
The mother of Bride is escorted to her seat by the father of the Bride or parents of Bride may wait and walk the Bride down the aisle together
The Groom including Best-Man and/or including all groomsmen enter through a side door and take their place at the alter (or at the front) facing the guests
The Bridesmaids walk down the aisle either with or without the assigned Groomsmen depending if they entered with the Groom or not

Maid-of-Honor walks down the aisle
The Ring-Bearer walks down the aisle
The Flower Girl walks down the aisle (sometimes she walks together with the Ring-Bearer)
The Father of Bride (or other escort, which might include the father and the mother)
escort the Bride to the alter where the Groom and Priest are situated. He places her hand in the Groom's hand and then the Father of Bride will lift the Brides veil and kiss her before he seats himself besides his wife.
As soon as the ceremony is over, sometimes a
Receiving Line is made to congratulate the Brides and Groom. Some guests are not able to attend the reception and so they would like to extend their well wishes at the church.
