Do the ginkahayer and ginkamyer sit on the head table in an engagement party?

I had a khosk gab last year and this year I want to have an engagement party. My fiance's mom says the ginkahyer and ginkamyer sit on the head table with myself and my fiance, but I don't want them to. Is it part of the customs and traditions that they sit with us?

For ours (8 years ago), we had them sitting on our table...and for our friends (we were the ginkahyer and ginkamyer) they also had us sit with them. I think it makes the ginkahyer and ginkamyer feel more special and more part of the event.

There is no real tradition for it anymore because people do different types of engagement parties and choose what they want, but yes, traditionally they would ait with you. Again, its really up to you. If its important to her and you don't mind, then they can sit with you now and at wedding you can have sweetheart table with just you and him. - Susan-
